Our Titanium 1911 style pistol grip screws are made to fit MOST standard size factory and aftermarket grips. Thread lengths are standard OEM length. We have shortened our shoulder height by.015″ to allow our screws to set flush or just slightly below the top of the screw hole counter bore.

I have a Rock Island 1911 that I took completely apart when I first got it, and managed to strip out the head on one of the grip screws (I got a lot of excuses: I was using Harbor Freight tools, and the screw is so small, can't really see if it is an allen or torx). I did the same thing on a bow, so I think it's the tool.Sooo.now the grip is loosening up, so the gun sits home. Any suggestions on a fix? I can probably reach out to Rock Island, but if there is a suggestion that involves Amazon (and getting it in two days), let me know. I.think. the screw, or size, is not the 'normal' 1911 grip screw size, so I believe it is not a one size fits all.
BUT, if you know that I can remove the inserts as well and just replace everything and it will work, I'm good with that too. Also: Suggestion on where to get a decent set of Allen keys made of actual steel?
